• The González family starts with the highest grade of blue agave, cultivated on the TSL estate in the Los Altos region of Mexico. The agave from the González estate is the most expensive agave available on the open market • The agave is distilled at the family’s two distilleries, El Centenario and La Vencedora, using different processes. The juices from both are combined, resulting in consistently smooth tequila like no other made • Two distilleries…two methods for getting to the heart of the agave: - Tahona: Agave is crushed with the “tahona”, a millstone that is pulled by two mules - Molino: An old fashioned roller mill • Other distillers that grind with machines get more juice, but their processes do not extract the best “musto” (juice) • Once the juices are combined, they are distilled in copper stills and filtered to remove all impurities, resulting in the smooth finish and sweet taste that our tequilas are renowned for • Aged in white oak barrels for up to 7 years to give Tequila 7 Leguas its deep character, full flavor, an unique smoothness • For many years*, TSL provided the juice for Patron Tequila and was served in nearly 100 million tequila drinks – the ultimate test of consumer appeal
